The author of the Princess Clementine series is a lifelong traveler with a passion for exploring the world’s most beautiful destinations. From the Caribbean shores of Aruba to the volcanic landscapes of Hawaii, each journey becomes the foundation for a new bedtime adventure.

What makes these books special isn’t just the places—it’s the authentic experience of having actually walked those beaches, climbed those mountains, and felt the magic of each destination firsthand. This real-world connection transforms simple bedtime stories into invitations for families to explore together.

Why I Write for Children

Travel opened my eyes to the wonders of our world. Through Princess Clementine, I want to share that same sense of possibility with children—to show them that adventure isn’t something that only happens in fairy tales, but something they can experience in real life.

The Writing Process

Each book begins with travel—sometimes planned adventures, sometimes spontaneous discoveries. Along the way, I collect:

  • Photographs that capture the essence of each location
  • Sensory details—sounds, smells, textures that bring scenes to life
  • Local stories and cultural traditions
  • Natural wonders that inspire magical elements in the tales
  • Personal moments of awe and discovery

Back home, these real experiences transform into Princess Clementine’s adventures—maintaining the authenticity of place while adding the magic of imagination.

The Real Stories Series

The Real Stories collection features destinations the author has personally explored. Future books will continue this tradition, taking Princess Clementine (and young readers) to more incredible real-world locations.

Upcoming destinations include: More Hawaiian islands with active volcanoes and flowing lava, Caribbean cruises exploring multiple islands, and other surprise locations from around the world!
